According to Bret Manning, the term ‘Mix’ has to deal with blending two things. When it comes to singing, it has got to do with blending the chest (bottom voice) and the head (top voice). About ninety per cent of all the singers go through some form of flip, disconnect or break between the two qualities. Getting rid of the break, flip or disconnect by combining the head and chest voices is known as the mix.
