In this article, you are going to learn some concepts that will show you how to sing better in any kind of situation, developing a better singing voice that has wonderful tone, and a range like a pro singer. Your vocal tone is determined by some important factors. The most crucial factor is the position of your larynx. It’s also known as the larynx is the grouping of muscle, cartilage, and ligaments, also commonly referred to as the “voice box”.
There are several experiments to let you better understanding the
influential degree of the larynx position to your tone quality….
1) Using “Ahhhhh!”. Do this with a big deliberate yawn. Make sure to achieve relaxing sensation in your throat? Now…..as you let out the air, say Ahhhhhh! Listen how rich the tone is? Try doing this while gently resting the tip of your finger on your adams apple (The small notch on your throat, there are two…..it’s the top one). This exercise gently helps to pull the larynx downwards.
