In this overlapping range the modal voice will be louder than the falsetto voice sung in the same pitch. The vocal chord vibration that produces the falsetto voice cannot cater to high volumes except in the highest register. There is a limitation in the tone colors too because of the simplicity of its wave form. Modal voice is capable of more complex wave forms and tone color and hence the dynamics of the song will be of a higher level.
